The high pigment concentration in the Supracolor core remains intensely brilliant even when heavily diluted with water, producing luminous transparent washes rather than pale tones.

What paper types work best with these pencils? Watercolor paper with light to medium tooth performs best for wet wash work. Smooth illustration board and mixed-media paper also work well for combined dry-and-wet techniques.

Can dry pencil work be applied over dried watercolor washes? Yes. Once a wash has fully dried, dry Supracolor pencil work can be layered on top for fine detail, outlines, and texture — a key advantage of the watercolor pencil format over traditional watercolor alone.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0873/4405/4621/files/caran-dache-supracolor-soft-aquarelle-coloured-pencils-40-set_7610186034404.jpg?v=1718415346
